Re: beauty

Thanks, Tomek! I hope to make it to the Tatras one day too

The best part was not seeing anyone at all for nine days :)

Nice shot!

Did you climb it? Or anything else on the range?

Re: Nice shot!

Thanks! No; no summits in the Huayhuash; we climbed again this year in the Blanca (5th year!)but were only in the Huayhuash to do the Alpine Circuit and a general reconnaissance of the range for climbs in 2014.

We were left with enough time to either go for Yerupaja or do the Circuit, and we chose the latter; too bad! Yerupaja was in excellent condition! ah, well..

Re: Nice shot!

Well I'm sure the mountain is still there. :)
It's be nice to see someone summiting in the next season. I'll be cheering for you!

Yerupaja

Huayhuash...always so impressive!

You say Yerupaja was in excellent condition. That's not something you hear often nowadays. Do you have any good shots of the peak?
I'm very interested in knowing more about this. Heading there soon.

Re: Yerupaja

A few posted from August 2013; we were looking at the W Face Direct or the NW Ridge; the latter was a bit laden but not too bad; the Direct looked pretty good; the lower half is coming back after a long absence - hopefully it will stay a while..
