Great views from the base of the summit block. Did not go up the class 3 due to time, but perhaps one day, along with the other boulders. The use trail here has deteriorated into multiple misleading spurs that fooled myself and a few others trying to get back to Backbone.
Via a loop that was supposed to hit all the LPS bumps in this part of the Santa Monica Range. I ended up missing Big Dome after mistaking Pop Top for it.
with Sandstone, Boney, and Inspiration Point.
Climbed with Sandstone Peak. Short and simple but exposed Class 3 summit block, rewarded with beautiful views!
The springs fire reached this peak and a small part of the Boney Mountain plateau from the north. But for the most part this area appears where fire teams had great success. Last peak of the day finished off with some bouldering :)
With the wife.
Fifth peak in a loop including Sandstone, Boney, Inspiration Point, Exchange, Tri Peaks, and Big Dome. Easy climb up the north side of the summit block. The downclimb was a little harder because it's hard to see the footholds due to the steepness. Plenty of good holds though that make it safe and fun.
6 peak hike with Coco the Dog & Zeus on the way to X-mas gathering.
climbed up the north side of the main rock. nice class 3 route
Discovered this little peak one day on a after work run. Has since become a favorite local destination.
Hot day tagging the LPC peaks in the area. Trip Report
