... at the Round Mountain summit. Gimpilator had bigger and better plans for summit ascents that weekend, but Round Mountain ended up being an off-the-cuff backup plan due to changing group personnel, weather conditions, snow conditions, and time. Perhaps later on he will look back on this successful summit and be happy about it. After all, Round Mountain is the eighth-most prominent peak in Washington and the CoGPP of Skagit County. I was thinking...

This is it eh? A sad little cairn on top of a short peak in the drizzle and fog. But "Perhaps later on" as you say, if I do get caught up in the prominence thing, I will be glad.
