Can you see the trout in the lake?

Yes ...

I love trout! I am guessing that the
ONP managers are opposed to the idea
of adding or planting trout, because it
would infect the unique balance of the
Park's ecosystem. I usually go for
salmon when I'm in the PAC NW. If I
don't catch any, I just purchase smoked
salmon from the Native Americans. Nice
photo of this beautiful scene. - Larry

Re: Yes ...

Thank you, Larry. I doubt seriously that ONP managers would turn a blind eye to the introduction of exotic species these days. Many of the trout in the ONP were introduced decades ago and the ONP managers are happy to have fisherfolk catch them. I too enjoy salmon more than trout and love when my patients bring me fresh catch!
Take care, Trina

What a dreamy place to be! Wish I was there right now.

Re: Nice!

It is a beautiful spot to be, but tough place to get to. If you read my short trip report you will get the idea of when NOT to hike up to the lake.
Cheers. Trina
