Nice damp day climb  Sucess!

My sister and I hiked over to Truro from Petroleum Lake. The day had been a bit on the rainy side, and Petroleum Peak was obscured by clouds.

Great Success  Sucess!

Up Lincoln Creek road, Pauli & I parked his jeep on the road's nearpoint east of Truro, crossed Lincoln Creek, traversed southwest across the sketchy scree field then north to Truro-West Truro saddle, then crossed a steep snowfield right above frozen Truro Lake, then a fun scramble up to the summit. Went down a bouldery chute back on the north side.

Awesome scramble & summit, good crisp early fall weather, patchy clouds and light flurries on descent. Quiet day up LCR, no other climbers that day.

Truro Triple  Sucess!

Climbed Truro from Truro Lake then traversed over to "West Truro" and PT 13090 and back down to the Lincoln Creek Road. The traverse to "West Truro" is not too difficult in concept (climb the first tower, drop and traverse tower 2 and 3 on the left then cross and traverse tower 4 on the right and up to the summit) but the execution involves a lot of loose rock! Fortunately the solid class 3 scrambling on the way to 13090 made up for it.
