The Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) is a very common mushroom in the forests of the Low Beskid. Its colors vary, but tend to stay in the buff, brown, cinnamon, and reddish brown range. The cap always has contrasting color zones.Trametes versicolor grows in dense, overlapping clusters or rosettes on logs, stumps and dead branches of deciduous wood. It rarely appears on the wood of conifers. It is too tough and leathery to be considered edible. The Low Beskid - The slope of Mount Zamczyska – Poland.
