Mightn't be the Reeks but it still knows how to impress!
Hiked these great mountains in 2005 with my sister and grandparents. Excellent and memorable times. Dont forget to burn some turf!!!
They're closer to 700m actually.
400m prominence hills on Summitpost? Well I may as well sign it then. Not climbed on the same day. Some of my earliest proper hikes and still memorable.
did a couple of things on bencorr - nice scrambly east ridge and the amazing carrot ridge, best diff ever?
:Benbrack, Muckanaght, Benfree, Benbaun
Not much time this day, but I headed straight up for Binn Bhan (highest of the Bens at 729m). Windy and cloudy. Views were spectacular for the few minutes I had them.
Great workout. A long day out in perfect weather.
We did the Glencloghan horseshoe from Derryclare around. One of the better days I've had in Connemara. No rain whatsoever and very little wind. On a clear day, this is one of the finest horseshoe walks in Ireland.
