Start at the Twin Peaks Trail just off Road 5897 as described in the Getting There section.
This is a straight-forward hike and the trail is well-maintained although seldom-used. Follow the trail 1.6 miles until it crosses the PCT. This is about the halfway mark. After a further short hike you will reach the ponds on the right side of the trail. From here it gets steeper but is not very long until you come out of the forest at the base of the two peaks. The trail climbs to the North Twin summit and continues on around the east rim to another short climb and the South Twin summit.
3.3 miles from trailhead to summit and about 1600 feet of elevatoin gain.
