U-notch in May '07

from an ascent in May '07. The upper glacier and lower couloir were deep snow, and a real pain. Found a little bit of soft ice at the very top. A very windy day!

Nice pitch!

Beautiful action shot of the group. Looks a little late in the day. Any problems with rockfall?

Thanks! It was probably 8 AM. No problems with rockfall. Snow was very soft, and we post-holed on the glacier.

Where are your skis?

If I was up there that time of year, I'd definitely be there to ski.
