UN 7281

A burnt tree somehow still stands on the summit of UN 7281, Catalina Mountains.

Pretty incredible!

It reminds me of "Balnced Rock" unlikely, but there it is. What do you think caused only this one section to go? A sideway moving bolt of lightening or something? Or you think it's a termite damage? Termites do stick to one area. I certainly don't want to have lunch under it.

Re: Pretty incredible!

Thanks! I do know the damage was caused by a huge fire... but I've still got no idea why that one section held - crazy, eh?
