Upper Basin West of Blue Lakes

Looking up towards the upper basin that lies west of Lower Blue Lake. Once into Blue Lakes Basin, hike towards the south end of Lower Blue Lake and locate the far inlet stream. The easiest approach for reaching the upper basin is to stay right (north) of the inlet stream and start heading up - there is no trail (and you do not want ot head up the gully to the left!). Eventually the "Shark's Fin" will come into view (not seen in the picture). Once at the Shark's Fin, stay right (north) and work your way up through the tundra and rocks to the upper basin.
