to the right of standard route if you are facing the cliff. with cathedral as the backdrop. is it?
where is this? looks cool
Whitehorse Ledge in New Hampshire one of the many over populated areas of the Mount Washington Valley. Its quite pretty but makes you miss Yosemite :/
Funny, I just got that miss the Yosemite feeling this past weekend while staring up one of Dix's slides. All of solid granite!
was tis person using pro or was this a free climb?
The Dix slides are on my list too, many to be had. Apparently the slides on Dix are some of the first to come in.
I took a stab at the Eagle Slide weeks ago, far too much water made the approach almost impossible we bushwacked for 2 hours at one point and progessed little more than .5 miles. I was hoping to get on the slide and have to deal with some mixed roped scrambling...good fun and a lesson learned.
The person in this pic was leading the pitch, he made for a nice subject.
looks like a great place...another one for the list. So are the NH slabs as horribly runout as those at Stone Mtn, NC? :)
Havent been to Stone Mountain in NC but I would assume so. Have you been to NH? I urge you to visit in winter or summer the rock and ice is great (for the NE)
I don't doubt it James...in fact, I'm itching to go to see the flaming fall colors (like your pic above). Just need to find time & a cheap set of tickets :)
