Re: ouchNo, just really wet socks in old crappy shoes that cause the "sand paper" effect. It looks a lot worse than it really was, only took a few days to recover.

Re: 36 hours?!I can't remember, we figured it out at one point, I remember it wasnt as bad as we initially thought. It's probably no more than 15K, but I could be wrong. If you go from Stevens pass, the worst part comes when you reach Escondido ridge, that was a nightmare!
