A Little About Me

Always Looking Up. At first as an infant, the oak tree shaped like an eagle in flight, perched atop the hill behind my childhood home. Then those high points looming over hikes and camping trips with The Boy Scouts of America. The top of the granite domes climbed in each class of the Yosemite Mountaineering School. The boulders in the Berkeley Hills. The sandstone wall of Mt. Diablo's Rock City. The lookout atop Mt. Tam, our destination for a night of looking down on Marin County's lights to the music of Pink Floyd. And the annual visit to the top of Wyoming's Blacktail Butte from which I could stare mesmerized at the Teton Range. I'll be looking up til my last breath.
