actually I don't like online social-networks and profiles 'n stuff. but summitpost is cool!
i'm student from saxony/germany. i like sports, music, literature, philosophy and critique of society. alpinism - or in general climbing - and being in the mountains is (or appears to me as) three things:
1. indication of nature-domination;
2. marketing-amplified longing for the natural state, as an outcome of the non-identity of the social relations;
3. sublimation (linked with point 1)
but apart from these (and before all), being in the mountains means: freedom, beauty and joy.
so though in communism the need for being in the mountains would be much less. but: it could never be stilled.

if you recognize your own thoughts, you're welcome joining me in communist alpinism in the alps/pyrenees in summer/autumn 2011, which means sharing, frankness, respect & responsibility for each other and for the landscape, and maybe some other things as well but i forgot...
to me it also means: no huts, no cablecars - just spirit.
