Convenient side trip
Main hike didn't work out, so I took the opportunity to visit the Rocks after many years of passing them by. Swarmed with people, but the County has done a decent job of maintaining this park.

Kirk RockFun little side trip on the way home from a Mt Whitney climb. Scampered to the top of Kirk rock.

Fun placeClimbed to the top of a few formations with my kids. It's a fun place to do some slab climbing. More people than I expected.
