Vernon Bailey from the Saddle

View of Vernon Bailey from the saddle. The SE Ridge Route involves descending down the steep but vegetated talus slope in the foreground, crossing a hanging ravine, then climbing up the green slope to the left of the talus field at the center of the frame and crossing diagonally left to right above the talus. It isn't obvious in the picture, but there is a ridge line there-- the SE Ridge-- and an impassable ravine lies behind it, blocking direct access to the main summit (upper left.) The North Summit (upper right) can be gained from this ridge, then it is an easy bushwhack across the shallow saddle at the top to get to the main summit.
