Vevnica and Mali Mangart

From Stara planina meadow I am looking soutwards into the valley end between Vevnica (left in sunshine) and Mali Koritniški Mangart (right). That valley end you need to reach if you want to attack the famous Via della Vita, the difficult ferrata which overcomes the walls up towards Vevnica.

There's no other non-climbing passage from this valley up on the main ridge. Even Julius Kugy with his excellent guides tried several times, but always had to return. He was even holding in his hands an iron peg to force artificial passage, but his high ethits prevailed and he returned more satisfied that if he would use it.
