Great Via Ferrata  Sucess!

My guidebooks said: The most climbed Via Ferrata in the Dolomites.
Since it was May and before the high season we decided to give the route a go. It's a fanatastic route. Nice Climbing with airy parts and awesome views.
Even in May there were like 30 other peaople on route. For me this was a lot since on all other Ferratas that week we didn't see anyone. The normal route down (hiking trail) was covered in so much snow it was impossible to go down safely without crampons etc. As a result we had to downclimb the VF-route as well. Great day out with fantastic weather. Climbed together with Koen.
I wouldn't try this route in summer though; probably too crowded.

Very Crowded  Sucess!

July 2002. Great Via Ferrata, but too crowded. Got tired of queuing and eventually unclipped and scrambled a short distance away to avoid the constant stonefall dislodged by ascensionists above. Much more satisfying.

Made it in time for diner!  Sucess!

Third via ferrata of the day! Only took 45 minutes and wasn't hard but an enjoyable route with good vistas.
