view down Yellow Basin

View south from the summit of Yellow Mountain over what Gordon Edwards refers to as "Yellow Basin". There's a gorgeous lake at the head of the basin that is not visible from this vantage point. The ridge on the right leads down towards Poia Lake and affords an easy descent from here. The little black triangle far in the distance, directly above the outlet of Yellow Basin, is Napi Point. Just behind and to the right, the higher fin-shaped peak is Divide Mountain. Photograph by Josh Olson August 4, 2012
