Alam Kooh in winter

This photo exemplifies what Iran has to offer to the climbing community. There is electricity in this village now, and probably for many years. Thanks for taking and sharing this shot.

Re: Alam Kooh in winter

Thank you ! it's true there is a lot iran mountains can offer to those intrested in mountain sports as hiking, camping, rock climbing, ice climbing, ski... but because of the wrong government claiming the country it's almost unclear to the world what's like to be in Iran, there is not a nice picture around. I'm out of Iran but I'm really in love with the nature of this country, I hope they wont't destroy it.
by the way what's strange about the electricity in this city ?

Re: Alam Kooh in winter

Thanks for writing back. There is nothing wrong with electricity in this city. The last time I visited Roodbarak it was no more than a small village with no electricity, the way I remember it. I am talking about 1968ish, about 40 years ago.
