view from Schneeglocke

looking from the summit of Schneeglocke (3223 m, a nice goal for tourskiing) SSE to the neighbor Silvrettahorn on the right. Left of Silvrettahorn is Piz Buin. On the left half there is Vermunt glacier with Dreilaenderspitze touching the horizon. On the very left in the background there is Weisskugel. See also this close-up (January 1997)

Re: Great light!

Thank you! It is unusual that you can climb such high mountains in January. In 1997 conditions were safe and weather was perfect, but downhill was no fun in crusty snow.
