View of Nokhu Crags from the saddle that separates them from Static Peak. My dog Poudre was a real trooper to make it up to the saddle but I didn’t want to go any further with him. He probably could have made it farther but he was worrying me sick. He is pretty fearless and I kept worrying that he would fall. Also, he’s not real good at down climbing. There's no place like home, Toto. There's no place like home. Watch out for the flying monkeys up there.

Does he ride some in your backpack?

Re: Terrier?

He is a Silky Terrier (about 15 lbs). He never rides in my pack, most of the time I have to struggle to keep up with him! The only thing that slows him down is heat. When it gets over 90 degrees he tends to drag.

He's a cutie!

I bet he just loves the mountains and probably has no fear of tornadoes.
