Since I´ve been enjoying this site for a while and benefiting from it by seeing some places I still haven´t been to and getting information and photos from it, I realised that it would be fair to you "old"members to contribute to the site with my own collection from Dinaric and Albanian Alps.
Ive resisted digital technology for a longer time, especcialy because of the problems with memory and especcially with power supply (problem with batteries during multi-day-trekking through remote areas). During that period Ive made some great photos with very good Minolta 500si.
Last summer Id borrowed my first digital photo (Pentax) and made my first digital shots.
Last fall I went 2 steps ahead buying Sony DSC-F828 - a real machine! Now hardly waiting for a free weekend to go for a foto-safari!
I still have a large collection of classical photos made with Minolta 500-si, but when scanning them its not the same quality as it is when I do it directly in digital.
Also congratulations for your contributions to the site. Great photos!

Yes, we all know these problems with digital and classical photography. But for a non-professional use, I think now digital has more advantages.
I see you're a real mountain enthusiast. Yes, some great work has been done here on Dinaric mountains, especially by Sasa Gospic, the 'King of Velebit' from Zadar. But the area is so broad and so nice that everyone can contribute high quality stuff. As your English is perfect, start thinking of contributing also text descriptions :-)

I also agree that Saša ("velebit") has ecceptional photos, especcially of my - also favorite - mountain Velebit! Some of those picks are really amazing!
I am admirer of Dinaric mountains because of their remotenes
- not too many ski resorts, no highways, you can put your tent almost anywhere without restrictions (but with strong ecological sence!), still seeing shephards, enjoing their products they offer you (most of the times for free), listen to remote sounds of sheep, goats and cows, enjoing some areas still not known to lot of people, walking for days without even seeing a shop/market, the lightness and warmth of Dinarics where they hit the Adriatic coast, the lack of good accomodation (as an advantage :-) ), locals stil friendly to mountain travelers (despite all those Balkan wars in the area), karstic relief, different cultures (roman catholics, islamic, ortodox - continental, alpine, mediterranian,dinaric), wandering through mountains one off the last in Europe (beside Karpathian mts) where you can meet three largest predators: a bear, a wolf and a lynx.
Do you need more, hehe?
I have also more picks on some other mountains, but since there are no pages of those mountains I need some time to prepare new pages and contribute my picks.
These are: Komovi (Montenegro), Kucke planine (part od Prokletije in Montenego), Sniježnica (Croatia), Kapela area in Croatia (Bijele i Samarske stijene, Bjelolasica, Klek)...also more picks on Magliæ, Cincar , Velebit etc.
Lot of job to do! :-)
Me being a medo (medo meaning bear)? Hehe.
They say I even walk like a bear! I have some photos of Bear retrieval Center in the Village of Kuterevo (Northern Velebit).
Ill try to find some of Velebit´s pages to put those photos on web. It wil probably be on Zavižan page, since Kuterevo is on a way to Zavižan, when coming from Otocac (and Zagreb) direction. I hope Aleksandar - the maintainer of the page will agree with this.
You will see me in interesting photo playing with 2 young bears.
