Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it. I was actually hoping for pictures like this, and started from the Garden at 1am. I had a hunch the weather would be right to create this effect. I have since capitalized on the same weather pattern to get similar shots from other peaks. Basically, if the weather is wet/damp/rainy the night before, and supposed to clear and be sunny, the forest creates fog (like you see in this shot) when the sun hits it in the morning. The fog eventually rises. It might be thick enough to turn into real clouds, or it might dissipate, depending on how saturated everything is, how windy it is, and how hot the sun beats down. I am trying to understand phenomenah like this better, to aid in creating more pictures similar to this.
