Looking southeast from the summit of Mount Henkel. The small strip of water on the far left is Sherburne Reservoir. The red rock in the foreground belongs to Altyn Peak, which lies directly north of the Many Glacier Hotel. The historic hotel can be viewed in the center of the photo along the east shore of Swiftcurrent Lake. Snowy Allen Mountain sits behind Lake Josephine, and the peaks of the Lewis Range continue off in the distance. The long ridge in the foreground drains to the right towards the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn; this large drainage provides an absolutely stunning route up the south slopes of Mount Henkel.
