Planinsko polje from Grmada

Karst fields are not our prime interest, but mountains are. And this is the splendid view from Planinska gora towards the east, on Planinsko polje. This panoramic point is called Grmada, because in times of Turkish raids people were burning there big stakes of wood, signalizing coming danger.

Planinsko polje is our most beautiful karst field. On this visit it was quite dry, but each year up to two months it's all flooded with big quantities of water which can not flow away quick enough. June 4th, 2022.
