Star King and Waumbek, seen...

Star King and Waumbek, seen from the Northern Presidential Range, towering (!) over Jeffersonville, NH. No, these are not the most imposing peaks in the northeast, but nevertheless, if you are hiking the NH 48, the NEHH, or the NY/NE 115, Waumbek (the big one just right of center) is on your list. Photo taken September 10, 2005, on one of those cosmically satisfying late summer days, visibilty 100 miles +, cool northern breeze, temps in the low 50's. Enough to make an atheist wonder!
