The Grubenwand above the Gleirschferner

This double summited peak is named Vordere Grubenwand (3165 m) and Hintere Grubenwand (3175 m) right behind. The dramatic wall is called the Grubenwand. It certainly looks like a great ridge to climb from the Gleirsch valley floor.

Thank you Alex! It's just a huge landscape back there. I wish I could have captured the waves of spindrift coming down the Grubenwand...
