Flêche Rousse gendarme
The last obstacle on the ESE-ridge is the Flêche Rousse gendarme itself. Guidebook route goes up along the right hand side, with a rappel on the other side. It's also possible to make a traverse to the right of the gendarme, via a steep snowfield, gaining the final summit ridge, which is what we did.
