Bigelow's upper east side

Bigelow's upper east side

A view of the upper east side of Mt. Bigelow from the East Ridge. The East Wall is plainly visible. My winding route to the top finished by way of the two small snow patches at upper right. The exposure was intense for a move or two, but the climbing wasn't harder than class 3. From the top of the two snowpatches, I traversed back left through a small notch and completed the climb by way of the gully just left of the summit cairn. Photo taken June 5, 2003.
