Salgóvár

Salgóvár

Natural rock on Vár-bérc (715 m). There used to be a small fort here (called Salgóvár), probably built in the 13th century, demolished in 1424. (Börzsöny Mountains - 05.03.2008.)

Hey ...

Great history in this photo. Can only be back in Byzantine Times. Asia Minor, the fall of Constantinople, the Venetians...
mountains can be like time-clocks to human history. Anybody want to go to Mars??? Great
photo, peterbud! Have fun in the mountains!

Re: Hey ...

Yep, you can travel back a lot in time at these places, and think about history repeating itself over and over again...

Re: Hey ...

Yes, that's exactly what happens, history repeats itself! Unless, people get really angry and start a revolution against themselves. The mountains will always remain. in silent testimonial. Take care.
