Almost too good to be real

4 stars divided by 0! factorial.

Re: Almost too good to be real

I'll second both of those: a) unreal looking; b) deserves a very large number of stars! Great shot!

Re: Almost too good to be real

Geek comment but division by 0! wont get more stars as 0!=1 :)

Re: Almost too good to be real

Dividing by zero is indeterminate not 1. Indeterminate is not infinity.

Excellent series of photos here. What kind of photographic equipment do you use?

Re: Almost too good to be real

Yes, Haydar is correct. 0! = 1 (it's an infinite limit kind of result). My intent was to fool at least one person, and looks like this I did.

Mathematically speaking, dividing by zero is both indeterminant and infinity.

Sweet shot!! Where is it located?

How can I find this arch? I've bouldered around in the A-hills before but never saw this feature!! Excellent shot!

Re: Sweet shot!! Where is it located?

This arch is located off the end of Movie Road. It's easy to miss, but the directions I used to find it are here: http://www.apogeephoto.com/jan2003/cleigh.shtml. Good luck!

Re: Sweet shot!! Where is it located?

It reminds me of this photo in that it seems like a very popular location and composition.

Re: Almost too good to be real

0! = 1, so 4/0! = 4/1 = 4 stars... Perhaps you mean just 4/0, which is equal to infinity! :-P

Re: Almost too good to be real

Well, the pic isn't that good. It doesn't take me there when I touch it. That would be a photo with an infinite rating.

The call of the mountains

By looking through this "portal" the viewer is even more enticed to step through into the great beyond. Excellent design engages the audience and makes the image more interactive. Also provides a surreal sort of "scale" ... making those peaks seem almost out of reach.
