Ross Peak - Suggested Route Topo

Ross Peak - Suggested Route Topo

A route topo as best as I could judge where I was. It should be noted that where my topo ends is not the summit. There is still another 200 vertical or so after that point.

Scrambling this route: safety

This approximation is fairly accurate. In this area there are several gullies, chimneys and steps that will lead to the summit ridge. Be forewarned, there is a lot of loose scree, breakable holds, insecure boulders and fourth class movements. A helmet is not unreasonable with multiple scramblers or parties in the area. Avoid climbing directly above one-another.

It should also be noted that upon reaching the ridge denoted in the photo as the "top" there have in the past (I've climbed Ross twice) been summit cairns leading through some portions that although I don't feel need explanation can be tricky.
