Valgrande Italian National Park

The Val Grande National Park, in north-west Italy, is a relatively small area where you found an unique ecosystem.
In center of Europe, the largest wilderness area in the Alps; dipped in the nature is possible to found a very particular atmosphere, a few kilometers from the civilization, but at the same time far away...

But in the past was different... in this area hundreds of peoples worked there in the sheep farming, woodcutters, often in a very difficult conditions. In the last century all peoples leave this area, and the nature come back..
Walking in Valgrande it's touching to found signs and traces af the past human presence...

In despite of low altitude, (highest mountain is 2301 m), hiking in Valgrande it may be more difficult and dangerous than high mountains,
be carefully there...
Ridges of Valgrande...

A collection of some photos of my preferred place...

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
