A Crack in the Armor

A Crack in the Armor

View in "Orig" for better effect and detail. As late afternoon wore on, so too did dark clouds grow, diluting the amazing under-the-sun colors of the area. But at last the sunlight broke through a drak-gray keyhole again, and I saw the upper reaches of the peak in all their glory. This is from a short distance below the summit of the eastern, and higher, of the White Domes. The sandstone ramps lead straight up-- the difficulties are already below and behind-- to the red area at the top, and from there the summit itself is a few yards away. Re: Glorious ...

I don't care what they're of; I just like to see in-focus shots that have a little more purpose than "Look at me!"

Re: Agreement -

This sandstone is in very sharp focus, and its purpose is obvious. It turns back into sand, and has the tendency to get blown around by a very strong wind. Interaction is the key !!

Without interaction and the laws of physics,
nothing would happen! ! : )
