Looking down on Lewis Peak...
Looking down on Lewis Peak (5,608 ft). In January of last year Brian Hench and I climbed the slabby NW Ridge visible here. We were later told that might have been a first winter ascent of Lewis Peak. Possibly, but it was a low snow year. For a trip report for that climb, click here. The Monte Cristo Group is at upper left; while directly behind Lewis is Silver Tip. April 25, 2004.
