Talk about a bowling alley! I don't think Little Bears bowling alley can compare to this iddy bitty mountains bowling alley.

Would you like those crampons sauteed?

Well, this isn't the one I predicted would win, but I hope you won't make me eat my crampons.

How far down?

How far down is the road from where the photo was taken? It looks like 4,500 feet down to the road below.

Re: How far down?

I would guess it's about 2,300-2,700-ft.

Awesome!

Wonderful image Kane. It's so cool to see this perspective. I spent a lot of time (and film :) ) on that road down there a few weeks ago. What an awesome place. Congrats!!!

Why is it named Marcellina

Hi, I'm new to this board so sorry if this is a repeat question. I've got some good friends that have a cabin that overlooks Marcellina. For the past few years we've been trying to determine how it got the name Marcellina Mountain. We can't find any records anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? I figured since you folks spend time admiring her from up close you might have some insight.

Thanks,

Michael

Re: Why is it named Marcellina

Mike, welcome to SP. You know, I don't have a clue where the name originated. Sure is a fun one though, you need to climb it.
