The needle stays in just to suck out the bone marrow, after that it comes out, much better. It's just like a blood test, but the problem is the Doctor has to stick the needle and traverse the bone to reach its center and suck the juice out of it. Complicated procedure...And it can be done only by a Doctor, not nurses.
latest: Right at this moment I am recieving the last dose of chemo for this hospital vacation, after that all I have to do is to wait for the bone marrow to wake up so I can go home! That can take up to 15 days more in here...
I am home sick already and today is only the 6th day in here.
Soon I'll be home!
