So Low!Throughout the mid 70's to the present, I don't think I've never seen that lake so empty. I bet it gave you a sense of what that valley may have looked like before the dam was built.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't think about what the valley looked like before the dam was built. When we got to the lower parking lot, before I actually saw the lake, some guy with his kids approached me asking about how to get to the lake. They were going to fish. I thought it was a silly question since the lake was right there. I told him to just walk down a few steps and they will be there. After we walked to the upper parking lot and the trailhead then I saw the lake. Yes, pretty amazing how low it is now, and with such a low snowfall we had last winter it will be a lot lower yet.
