North Ridge
Up and down the North Ridge from the tarn below Twin Peaks Pass in just under 2hrs. The climb isn't difficult, and the exposure is minimal. Nevertheless, I found myself a bit nervous. There's something about that chossy-looking dark rock--it erodes my confidence. I encountered similar stuff on Mt. Morrison and I was pretty scared on that peak. The rock on Virginia stayed in place for the most part; nevertheless, I didn't feel secure. I don't particularly enjoy peaks with this kind of rock, so I'm going to try to avoid them from now on. Stanton, Whorl, Matterhorn, and Twin Peaks all had better rock than this.

Had a great time hiking out of Green Creek TH, what a beautiful area! Apparently this peak isn't climbed often, not sure why. When climbing up to the lake just north of the summit, climb the slot to the right of the main waterfall; I descended this way instead of climbers left of waterfall and found it to be much safer. The "slot" has a climbable portion and a swimmable portion; use climbable portion at the base and avoid the waterfall on the upper portion by crossing over onto a rib. Bob Burd's 4hr15m is insane; maybe I made the pass in 4hr. Give yourself lots of time to enjoy the beauty of the area especially with this year's snowpack and don't forget your headlamp, lol.

East Face
East face above the black triangle provides sustained class 3 climbing. For the best rock stay on the arĂȘte but still check your holds as loose rock abounds.
Up from Green Creek and Virginia Pass. Ascended the waterfall canyon (to the right of the waterfall) up to the Twin/Virginia saddle and then took the loose ridgeline up to Virginia.

Green Creek Trail to Twin Peaks Pass, then to the top. Lots of fun! Looks like Adam was here two weeks earlier.
Camped at the head of Virginia Canyon after coming in from Green Lakes TH. Headed up Virginia early in the morning then up the ridge to Twin. Super views, little wind, and no clouds all day long.

Green Creek TH to Twin Peak Pass
Followed the waterfall up to the tarn and continued up the talus slope to the pass. Great day with almost no wind, leaving me to swat away at the horde of flies on the summit.
