In Guatemala are many active volcanoes: Tecuamburro, Atitlan, Santiaguito, Fuego and the most famous Pacaya. Many more ancient cities as Tikal even better as Yaxha, El Mirador with the bigest piramid in the world. So, lot of interested places more.

Spectacular MountainThis sounds like an amazing place... I've only been to Guatemala once- day trip to Tikal- but you've given me a reason to go back.
Very cool to be near a mountain being formed, to witness all the activity, beats anything else you can do in the mountain, IMHO.
Good info and I imagine the GPS coordinates are too. More folks should include that level of detail where useful.
