9 people joined Walt Haas on WMC's traditional Triple Traverse on 5/12/07. Billed as one of the finest snow climbs in the Wasatch, this year's trip was somewhat an exception, with numerous melted-out segments in Tanners Gulch, and generally softer remaining snow, never quite reaching a crampon grade, but sometimes real sloppy.Great view and good pace for the team, 3.5 hours to Dromedary including a relaxing breakfast stop at Tanners Saddle, then 4 more hours to complete the traverse over Sunrise, "Jepson's Folly", and the two Twins, again including a relaxing lunch break, and finally back over East Twin and down Broads (3 hours for me, but I cheated the postholey snow by bringing skis for a faster glide down Broads). Thanks Walt for leading it again, and special thanks to Lubos for breaking the lion's share of the trail, super shape, best wishes to you and the team on Denali!
