Great one, Melinda !It looks like a person could lay down in the shadows, and you would be hidden. As long as you didn't have rattlesnakes for company. What are we looking at, as far as mileage from the trailhead. Gotta LOVE those colours!!!

Re: Great one, Melinda !Thank you, most people see this arch from the bottom near Water Canyon but there is also a route that goes to the top of it from Squirrel Canyon.
I didn’t see any rattlesnakes. To tell you the truth, I’ve seen more rattlesnakes in my local Wasatch Mountains than I have in the desert. The round trip mileage from Water Canyon to the summit is about 14 miles. It’s a good day hike but the elevation gain isn’t too steep.

Nice shot!Tanya and I went up and stood atop the arch a year or so back. Great place! Thanks for the beautiful shot from the bottom. Very nice!

Re: Nice shot!Thank you. Next time I’m in that area I’ll hike up Squirrel Canyon and go to the top of the arch. It seems to be more exciting to stand on top of it.

Re: This is a great shotThank you. The arch is one of the highlights of the canyon. I just happened to get a photo while the sun was setting which was kind of neat.
