Beautiful Icy Day
Icy trails with the road closed took me to wonderful views at the observation tower, where icy mountain peaks could be seen peaking out of a sea of clouds sitting at lower elevations. Too bad I ended up sick, taking some of the joy from the day... still great.

Faux Summit
I'm signing the log so I can remember that I've been here - but I drove to the parking lot and did not hike up. It was absolutely beautiful and I hope to come back with a full pack one day. :)
Stopped to have lunch on the tower on 4th day of AT section hike. Great views that day. I have been there other times by car. Its a great southern summit along the AT, no matter how you get there.
Came up here to do a reconnaissance trip for a camp.

Very Enjoyable!!!
I really liked visiting the stone observation tower. I have heard how great the views are, but unfortunately the fog cover was too thick to see any such views while I was there.

AT NoBoNice spot to take a rest between shelters. Didn't linger too long as we still had several miles left in the day!
