A bit more excitement than planned
Lost the trail on the slabs and ended up getting cliffed out just short of the boulder narrows. Fortunately a few tiny ledges, a small pine tree, and a lot of sketchy scrambling got me back on track. Seventy minutes to the top from the parking lot.

Did it with Dickey as part of the loop. Got down right before a huge thunderstorm! Always a fun, easy climb.

moonlight hike
Fantastic choice for a night hike - big moonlit slabs with fantastic views (and we had the mountain all to ourselves).
Did the whole loop. What a great hike. Big mountain views from most of the rock face on the way up and down. The kid's loved it and will remember it for ever.

First mtn I ever hiked (as a strapping 8 yr old lad), so I couldn't resist the summit log. Now I worry my parents while climbing in the Sierra with ropes, ice axes, and harnesses :-) This hike is a great one for beginners or those looking for an easy summit(s) with some great views.
