Linked up to Traverse of the Goddesses  Sucess!

Such a good route. Soloing it is totally manageable.

Hot free solo climb  Sucess!

Free solo climbed the West Slab route in 102 degree heat. After reaching the top of Olympus I decided to downclimb the West Slabs due to the fact that I did not have a shuttle car and the trail would have spit me out several miles away from where I parked. The route was not too bad to down climb although it was a bit more difficult than the ascent. Saw a huge beehive at the base of the slabs(climbers right on the way up). All in all a great easy climb, even if it was ridiculously hot.

Top two pitch's all snow  Sucess!

My buddy and I were a little early but you will love the view after a few pitches up. The last two were covered in snow still.

To the TOP  Sucess!

Slab was fun, cool approach. Traversed over to the main summit and hiked down the trail. Fun trip overall, all the hype built up big expectation that weren't quite met but I would recommend it. Solo if you can...

solo  Sucess!

third free solo since last Fall, always such a fun climb! very relaxing to see all the hustle and bustle of millions of people in the valley below while climbing an easy but fun rock face. The descent down the gully is a lot of crab crawling and down climbing, more tiring than the ascent (and less fun).

Solo  Sucess!

Had some time to kill this afternoon, so I thought I'd check this out. This is a *long* climb, but with plenty of potential lines, you can dial the difficulty however you want. I botched both the approach and the walk-off, but corrected both mistakes without too much pain. I was glad I had an ice axe for the approach gully, as it felt a bit tenuous in running shoes. Brief trip report, with other stuff.

North and main summits included  Sucess!

Climbed with Vanman and a few others, continued on to North and main summits. Two known rattle snake encounters, one noticed at the very top of the slabs right were we had been taking a break the other I stepped over and Walter heard it rattling so I just kept moving!
10/26/2013 Did a solo climb, and then continued onto North Summit and Main summit, took the new section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail back to Thousands Oaks Trailhead to make a complete loop, 6.5 hours.

Cell Phone On Route  Sucess!

I climbed this with Brenton Peterson. I remember on one pitch he got a cell call and stopped to answer his phone and talk on it :-) Also did a little bit of simul-climbing to reach nicer belay ledges a few times.

With Dave. Perfect weather: cool and overcast. Some wet areas but mostly dry for this challenging scramble/climb.

Fun Route  Sucess!

We started out with a rope, but after the first twenty feet we said screw it and just did it without the rope. Awesome climb with beautiful views.
