Bill...

going to add this photo and link to the main page today....great write up as always of course...so you did not get Daly at the same time? Suppose to save a bunch of regain if one is willing to camp up there eh? Never got those Yoho peaks done...maybe you and I can get in there next year if you don't get to them this fall....Raphael and I did have a good time on Birdwood my last day out...I complained about not seeing so much wildlife all summer, focusing too much on tech rock, but on our Birdwood day, 7 moose and 6 goats....I have to admit I have seen more goats this summer than ever even though I only did like 2 scrambles and a handful of alpine routes...wondering about an increase in population..cheers

Re: Bill...

Thanks Dow - we didn't have 2 free days for an overnight so decided we should do Daly as a 2-3 hr RT from the Scott Duncan hut on a spring ski trip next year when we do Balfour.
I will not get to the rest of the yoho peaks this year so maybe we can do them next Sept.
Birdwood looks like a great trip in Raff's pics. that is a great area.
I think you are right about the animal population increase because everyone seems to be seeing lots of moose and goats this year - maybe a low in wolf numbers?
