First Fourteener  Sucess!

Super easy trail as far as steep ascents go. Well worn with lots of people but worth the trip!

Winter Ascent  Sucess!

Trial was very well packed down. Snowshoes not necessary, but helpful on the short approach. Ice axe necessary, unless you can manage to stay on the rocks. Crampons may be useful but I didn't bother as the steepest snow I went on was about 30˚ ish. Not a cloud in the sky the entire day. Possibly the best winter weather for a 14er I've seen.

Easy nice trail  Sucess!

Nice trail. Your able to see the trail almost the entire way to the Summit. There were many poeple when we did it, although, we missed the rush as we started at 6am and passed all the crowds on the way down.

Broken Hand  Sucess!

Hiked this route with a cast on my hand. Could feel the cast get super tight as blood rushed to my hand on the way down. (Bill Griffith)

Bierstadt through the willows  Sucess!

Starting at Guenella Pass, I headed down into the willows. This was before they built the boardwalk, so I fight through the wet willows and swampy ground. But once through the hike was easy to the summit. Done this route two other times after they built the boardwalk.

Willows? No problem  Sucess!

I arrived the afternoon before my hike up Bierstadt so I decided to sit at Guanella pass an watch returning hikers wander their way through the willows, I noticed a pattern of direction with hikers who seemed not to be lost providing me with a good idea of the route, It worked!
