Wetterhorn as seen from Matterhorn
This photo shows the amount of snow that we experienced in late May of '08, after a winter which brought more snow than most.
We climbed Wetterhorn the next day by the normal (class 3) route, and thankfully there was no snow for the final gully "pitch" to the summit, it looked as though it had cleared up much earlier
